One of Calgary's top deep house producers, Matt Caine is back doing what he does best on the latest instalment from Substation Recordings. Fresh off a huge release on Vancouver imprint Nordic Trax, Matt Caine reveals a more gritty side than what we're used to - three acid-influenced deep house rollers, using a combination of disco-era synths and deep, loungey undertones.

The EP begins with the ferocious "Crime Boss", which has been turning crowds into a frenzy since Matt began playing it out at the beginning of the summer.

Both "Crime Boss" and "Cosa Nostra" resonate with lush dreamy pads, while pulsating 303 synth leads filter in and out, creating builds sure to please the ear on a late night dance floor.

"Jail Break" on the other hand centres entirely around a driving and rising acid synth lead, verging on the brink of discomania, but staying true to its relentless acid foundation as it swells slowly over the course of the track before exploding into full swing at its peak.
