about

Woodhead marks his return to Substation with "A Little Number EP" - 3 upbeat summery anthems with hints of disco and plenty of sublime live instrumentation.

The title track is an easy-listening head-bobber, with harmonizing synths and guitar licks - the type of tune you blast at a backyard party with the sun poking through the trees and smoke sailing in the breeze.

Track two takes the tempo down a notch with a deep and funky vocal medley - feeling those warm west-coast summer vibes.

Rounding out the release Woodhead channels inner freak with the bizarre yet undeniably catchy tune "Telephonic Funk". James Laf is featured on vocals urging the listener to "get your party started", shouldn't be hard to do after listening to this EP.

Woodhead has packed his follow-up Substation release with elements that anyone on the dance floor, regardless of genre affiliation, can enjoy. The fusion of jazz, soul, funk and house taps into a strong sense of nostalgia and creates an unparalleled sense of togetherness wherever it’s played.
