about

Riding the waves of success off their own recent debut Substation EPs, Rusty Meeks and Matt Caine return with 2 peak hour Deep House jams - "The Reel" Original Mix and Matt Caine Remix.

With 90's influenced percussive elemtents, "The Reel" breathes and swells, advancing into a garage influenced bassline, accented by dark evolving leads and ghostly vocals. The second drop hits hard, heavy and unexpected.. briefly bordering in the realm of Techno before returning to it's upbeat hook.

Matt Caine's remix breathes a whole different life into "The Reel", effortlessly pulling off another Deep House classic, not unlike his polished work on "Crime Boss EP" - Substation's most popular release to date. A bouncey rubber band bassline shuffles along smoothly, accompanied by uplifiting arpegiated synths and an epic breakdown.
